The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has put forth a recommendation for 16 candidates to assume the role of executive directors (EDs) in public sector banks (PSBs). In the period from July 1 to July 15, 2023, FSIB conducted interviews with 72 candidates hailing from different public sector banks.
An official notification stated, “Taking into account their performance during the evaluation, their overall experience, and the existing criteria, the Bureau recommends the following candidates for the panel of the year 2023-24.”
The recommended candidates, listed in order of merit, are:

- Ravi Mehra
- Rajiv Mishra
- Bhavendra Kumar
- Brajesh Kumar Singh
- Rohit Rishi
- Mahendra Dohare

- Dhanaraj T.
- Vijaykumar Nivrutti Kamble
- Pankaj Dwivedi
- Mukul N. Dandige
- Amit Kumar Srivastava
The FSIB notification further added, “This panel will be utilized in the financial year 2023-24, provided that vacancies are available in the said year’s panel.” Currently, India has 12 public sector banks, namely Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, UCO Bank, and Union Bank of India.
