SBI (State Bank of India) – the largest public sector bank in India has inaugurated a new RBO in Arunachal Pradesh. Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Hon’ble Finance Minister of India, inaugurated the Regional Business Office of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Namsai, which is recognized as an Aspirational District in Arunachal Pradesh. As per 2011 Indian census, Namsai has a population of 14,246 as per census 2011. As of now, the population is around 95,000. Namsai is a remote area and lies around 300 kilometers from Itanagar. It is just 90 kilometers from Myanmar.

Also present was Shri Tapir Gao, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), who acknowledged the positive impact that this new office would have on the community.
Additionally, the Secretary of the Department of Financial Services, along with the Chairman of SBI, was present at the inauguration, showcasing a united front in advancing the mission of the bank to provide essential financial services to all segments of society.
