After the PNB Saharanpur Currency Chest, fake notes of Rs.500 have been recovered in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh. Police have arrested Yawar Ali and Nurul Hasan, who used to print fake currency notes using a printing machine at home. 315 fake notes of Rs 500 were recovered from the accused. Both of them had been sent to jail earlier also on charges of making and circulating fake currency. Yawar Ali was also wanted in a case registered at Soron police station of Kasganj.
Yawar Ali, a resident of Bhasrala village of Alapur, used to cut white paper in the shape of Rs 500 note. After this, he used to make a photocopy of the real note using a colour printer. Nurul Hasan accompanied him in this operation. The two accused and their accomplices would mix the counterfeit notes with genuine notes and then circulate them in village and town shops.

SP City Abhishek Kumar Singh said that since the paper quality and thickness of the counterfeit notes were similar to the original, the notes went unnoticed. The accused used to visit shops at night and in crowded places so that shopkeepers could not identify the fake notes.
Alapur police station in-charge Sunny Chaudhary said that Yawar Ali and Nurul Hasan had formed a racket to circulate fake currency. Rupkishore alias Raju, a resident of Secunderabad, and Govind, a resident of Bhagwantpur in Kasganj, were caught circulating fake currency in Soron on September 4th. During interrogation, the police got to know about Yawar and Nurul Hasan. Both accused had been jailed previously, but after being released on bail, they had started making fake currency again.
