CBI Registers Case Against IOCL Employee for Disproportionate Assets

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against an Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) employee on January 28, 2025, following allegations of illicit enrichment. The accused, who previously held the positions of Sales Officer/Senior Sales Officer at IOCL’s Noida Division and Assistant Manager (Retail Sales) at the Noida-III Retail Sales Area, is now posted as Manager (Terminal) at Panipat RCO, Haryana.

According to the CBI, during his tenure from April 1, 2019, to May 24, 2023, the accused amassed disproportionate wealth. Investigations reveal that the accused is in possession of Rs. 49,84,960, which is 95.94% more than his known sources of income.

In connection with the case, the CBI conducted searches at five different locations, including two in Muzaffar Nagar, one in Meerut, and two in Panipat. During these raids, the agency recovered incriminating documents, including bank passbooks, credit card details, sale deeds, and documents related to five vehicles. The investigation is ongoing, and further actions are being taken to understand the full scope of the alleged illegal activities.
