Bihar Gramin Bank Manager Dies in Road Accident While Going to Farmer Loan Settlement Camp
A shocking news has been reported from Bihar. Branch manager of the Central Bihar Gramin Bank, died in a road accident near Sonpa village on the Chausa-Ramgarh main road in Buxar. The deceased was identified as 36-year-old Amit Kumar, a resident of Patna, who was the manager of the Sikraul branch of the Central Bihar Gramin Bank.
The accident took place while he was going to farmer loan settlement camp. On Thursday, he was on his scooter to attend a farmer loan settlement camp in Dehri. He had planned to take a CSP operator from Sonpa village along the way. A speeding Thar car coming from behind hit his scooter, leaving him seriously injured.

According to eyewitnesses, after the accident, the Thar driver took the injured Amit Kumar to Chausa and attempted to admit him to a private hospital. When he was not admitted, he was taken to Bhadaura in Uttar Pradesh. The driver then left him at the Ramgarh Primary Health Center in Kaimur district and fled.
Doctors at the Ramgarh PHC declared him dead after examination. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Ramgarh police started investigation and located the Thar vehicle, and recovered it from Durga Chowk in the Ramgarh police station area. However, the driver fled the scene.
Police duly seized the Thar vehicle (UP67AR/3633) involved in the accident. Later, the Rajpur police station took possession of the body and sent it to the Buxar Sub-Divisional Hospital for a postmortem. Rajpur Police Station in-charge Srinivas stated that the deceased’s family has been informed. The police are investigating the entire matter, including identifying the absconding driver.
Based on CCTV footage and the vehicle owner’s description, local police are now searching for possible locations to arrest the absconding Thar driver.
