BOB World App Scam Update: BOB has issued explanation letter to employees

Bank of Baroda has requested explanatory notes from employees suspected of involvement in irregularities and inflated registration numbers on the BoB World App.

Employees must explain their actions with supporting documents within seven days. So far, at least 50 personnel across branches are involved, with more potentially under investigation.

The investigation is part of an ongoing external audit aimed at rectifying the situation.

The Federation of Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association offers assistance to all officers receiving explanation letters, regardless of membership.

This follows previous measures like requesting document uploads related to app activations, triggered by an exposé on inflated registration numbers and fraudulent financial transactions.
