The District Collector of Bhind has suspended four patwaris of Lahar tehsil for gross negligence in resolving a pending land record complaint related to khasra entries.
According to official orders, an online complaint, filed on January 7, 2022, through the CM Helpline regarding land record corrections in village Jamua, had been pending for more than three years without proper action. Despite repeated instructions, the patwaris concerned failed to update the records, causing significant inconvenience to the complainant, Praveen Kumar Sharma.
The investigation revealed serious lapses by patwaris Archana Azad, Bhagwandas Parihar, Padamsingh Yadav, and Ravikumar Kushwaha. All four were found guilty of dereliction of duty in handling this important government matter.
Collector’s order stated that the patwaris have been suspended with immediate effect. During the suspension period, their headquarters will remain at the District Land Records Office, Bhind. They will be eligible only for subsistence allowance as per government rules.
The Collector also directed the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) of Lahar to initiate departmental inquiry against the suspended officials.
The complainant had alleged that despite applying for online updates of land records (khasra nos. 328, 329), the application was rejected without valid reasons. The negligence caused undue hardship to the applicant. Following verification, the Collector approved corrective orders in August 2025.
