Satna, Madhya Pradesh: The Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank has suspended Harendra Mishra, posted as Office Assistant in Satna region, over serious charges of misconduct and violation of service rules.
According to the suspension order issued on Wednesday, Harendra Mishra served in the bank’s Maihar branch from December 2015 to January 2020, in Amadara branch until June 2021, and since then at Tilori branch.
During this tenure, it’s alleged that he consistently disobeyed higher office instructions, misbehaved with superiors, failed to comply with banking rules, and remained absent from duty without authorization.
An inquiry was conducted and the inquiry report, dated August 26, 2025, confirmed these irregularities. The bank found his conduct in violation of Sections 18 and 20 of the Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank Service Regulations, 2010, amounting to a punishable offense under Section 39.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the disciplinary authority ordered his suspension under Section 46 of the Service Regulations, with immediate effect.
During the suspension period, Mishra’s headquarters will remain at the Regional Office, Devas. He has been directed to provide his full residential address and contact details to the bank. Further, he will not be allowed to enter any branch or administrative office for official purposes during this period.
However, his subsistence allowance will be credited to his designated bank account as per rules under Section 46(2) of the service regulations.
