Bank of Baroda Employees Union writes letter to CGM regarding pressure to achieve targets

The focus on driving business growth at Bank of Baroda has led to increased pressure surrounding the achievement of Current Accounts and Savings Accounts (CASA) targets. Recently, the All India Bank of Baroda Employees’ Co-ordination Committee (AIBOBECC) raised concerns about the bank’s insistence on business commitments from Clerks and Subordinate Staff.
In a letter addressed to the Chief General Manager (CGM), the AIBOBECC highlighted the distribution of excel sheets to individual staff members in regional offices. These sheets were used to solicit commitments for canvassing CASA accounts and specify the targeted CASA amounts.
The employees’ committee expressed their concerns regarding the potential impact of these business commitments on the workload and stress levels of the staff. They emphasized the need for a more balanced approach that takes into account the well-being of the employees while pursuing business targets.
The communication from the AIBOBECC sheds light on the growing concerns surrounding the pressure to achieve CASA targets within Bank of Baroda. It serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a healthy work environment and ensuring the welfare of employees while striving for business growth.

Is officers and higher staff not working is Bank of Baroda, poor management pressuring sub staff and clerks for Targets
Work and Target pressure on clerks,poor network, rest all Just pass on, results in unconcern and poor services.
Targets are meant for all irrespective of cadre grade and gender
All bank should be privatised now. The pressure in private banks are no comparison with govt banks.
Very poor mindset of the official staff. They are not treating customer as their assets. And not giving response on time.
Bank is not implementing new technology on their application and for any help related to online account transfer, address change and card reissue they are calling to the home branch.
You are not doing work in banks…then what is your workload in bank???…Poor fellows.

Management always does poor staffing, illegal interveiw, failed to give jobs about 70% to 80% local candidates, management always give promotions ladies, and work thiefs who hate customers to talk, fear to give loans, staff also do not follow bank procedures, especially in conducting pre and post sanctions of loans, HR, of bank never give posting to employees states though vacancies are available….hr officials usually work thiefs if we see their previous branch performances, Poor and worst management never establish NPA recovery department for speedy recovery, employees vote for wrost leaders during elections, association never questions illegal transfers, illegal promotions, illegal retensions of officers or clerical staff against to bank rules or vigillance department, nobody questions when management give pressure to insurance or mutual funds, ignore to regular bank work…all higher management wants to collapse the bank, before collapse of the higher management the employees are asking to book more customer base by opening of savings and current account. Once the stage of collapse or bankrupty stage arrives the bank would be sold to Modi friends, like Ambani and Tata as they got license few years ago…..all are working for modi friends…god bless you idiots, i called idiots because you are fools not questioned during malafieds in recruitments stage and employees VRS stage..
Why you fools have written to Chief general manager, instead of writing to Chairman and finance minister, in india all sectors and public are suffering…first change the association people or leaders…call me 9353513877..even SBI leaders and higher managements are theifs no one wants to decentrailisation of work like private banks works, encaurages work thiefs employee in the bank, illegal selection of fresh canditates, big mafia in recruitment…in interveiw the canditates who cant speak english would give appointment, 80 % of employee are usually work thiefs they have no morality in asking justice, they never joins for strikes, they never fails NPA accounts to courts like higher officials also do not wants to file cases in the court…banks should give loans at low interest rates and fix low interest to Saving accounts…this helps to cutails local lending….banks should earn income only by lending…and rotation of profit to lending…due to influation people savings are in threat no appriciable money in their accounts….

It is really true clerical staff is useless for banking support & help only time pass & take salary & DA every year on year & when all banking staff will not ownership for all types for business like CA, SB, FD, RD, Insurance these product will not sale then all will enjoy & take DA year on year
In Banking job yearly appraisal should be performance base & target should be clear becoz banking staff salary & all benefits & very high so should be privatization

The Reserve Bank of India has pointed glaring unethical way of increasing the usage of BOB World App by its top management. Have they not learnt their lessons. Do your business in an ethical way and win the confidence of the Employees. Maintain a work balance approach. Not whipping the officers to sit late in the office.
Banking sector is getting worst, in private banks it’s more pathetic
Ask, top management, to procure daily 20 CA/SB accounts and chargesheet them if they fail to procure
It’s in each n every bank organisation every higher authority pressurised subordinate for target and non achievement of the same is harassed by management

Casa is the demand of time. All Banks including private Banks are struggling for CASA. Management has not pressurised clerical and sub-staff. Management has not fixed any targets. Just they shared excel motivating everyone to contribute voluntarily. Clerk and substaff are also part of the Barodian family and when the Bank is struggling for CASA like any other Banks, we should come out voluntarily to motivate our existing/ non-existing customers and put our AHUTI in HAVAN. Can we not give our Commitment for one account of any reasonable amount like 2000 to 5000. It looks a small contribution but collectively a big achievement. In the excel sheet management has just asked for the Commitment. Why we stàrt doubting /abusing everything. Unions must understand this. Remember if Bank exist then only we exist as a Banker. Otherwise Government will not mind to sell it to Private entity and probably that day we all shall repent. Only we can pray that date never comes in our life.
If a clerk/staff cannot execute a simple transfer of funds from one account to another of the same customer in 4 days also and hesitate in sharing their contact details, how can they think of building a relationship with any customer or give any commitment for business sourcing. The situation is pathetic at one of the BOB branches in Moradabad (U.P.).
