BMS requests DFS Secretary not to open Banks on Sunday

The Office Bearers of NOBW, NOBO, AIGBWO & AIGBOO, along with Shri Girish Chandra Arya, Financial Sector In-charge, BMS, convened a meeting today with Secretary, DFS, New Delhi.

BMS raised concern over the order designating 27 September 2026 (Sunday) as a working day. BMS demanded either withdrawal of the order or compensatory off along with double pay for all employees attending duty on the said date.

BMS said that the Secretary, DFS, responded positively and assured that the matter would be taken up for a fruitful resolution.
