Big Robbery in Bank of Maharashtra in Jharkhand, Gold of Rs 5.5 crore looted in 20 minutes
After Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, a big robbery has been reported at Bank of Maharashtra in Jharkhand. Five criminals carried out a robbery at the Bank of Maharashtra in Barhi, Hazaribagh, on Friday.

The five criminals looted gold worth approximately ₹5 crore and ₹5 lakh in cash within 20 minutes.

This gold was deposited in the bank by customers who had taken gold loans. The Gold was pledged in the bank as security for gold loan.
The robbers entered the branch of Bank of Maharashtra in Jharkhand and assaulted Bank staff and manager. Robbers entered the branch enquiring about account opening process.

Soon, they assaulted the branch head and demanded cash. They assaulted Bank staff and looted gold worth ₹5-6 crore.
The robbers were inside Bank of Maharashtra for 20 minutes. There were no customers at the time of the incident. After the robbery, the criminals locked all the staff in the strong room and left.
Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the area and are searching for the criminals. Police are investigating inside the bank and examining CCTV footage.
A few days ago, five armed criminals entered the Bank of Maharashtra branch in Baidhan in Singrauli Madhya Pradesh and looted cash, gold, and silver. Robbers fled with approximately 9-10 kg of gold and Rs 20 lakh in cash. The gold is estimated to be worth around Rs 15 crore. Click here to read this news.
