Daylight robbery at Bank of Maharashtra in Singrauli Madhya Pradesh
A case of daylight bank robbery has been reported in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. Cash worth lacs of rupees has been looted from Bank.
Five armed criminals entered the Bank of Maharashtra branch in Baidhan on Friday afternoon and fled with cash, gold, and silver worth 30 to 35 lakh rupees.
The incident occurred around 1 pm on Friday afternoon. They quickly took staff hostage. The criminals pointed guns at customers and employees and looted cash.

According to Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri, the miscreants demanded the bank manager’s keys and details of the cash. When the manager refused, they assaulted him. They hit him on the head with the butt of a gun, created a ruckus inside the bank for about 20 minutes, and finally escaped with a box full of cash.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Singrauli Superintendent of Police (SP) Manish Khatri personally arrived at the scene with his team. All exit points to the city have been sealed. CCTV footage from the bank and surrounding roads is being examined to determine the robbers’ escape route.
According to the Superintendent of Police, there was no guard at the time of the incident. The assailants also fired a shot.
CCTV footage from a shop opposite the bank has surfaced, showing three suspects leaving the bank. In the footage, one robber first emerges from inside the bank, waiting on a bike parked outside.
Two men then emerge from inside, carrying a bag. The three accused fled on the same bike towards Baidhan town.
