Bank of Baroda to Sell 35% of its Stake in NSE Through IPO
Bank of Baroda has announced that it plans to sell up to 76,90,375 equity shares of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) through the proposed NSE Initial Public Offering (IPO).
The shares being offered for sale represent 35% of the shares held by the bank in NSE. The proposed sale is subject to all required regulatory approvals.
Shares Transferred to Escrow Account
As part of the NSE IPO process, Bank of Baroda said its NSE shares have been transferred to an escrow account on September 8, 2026. The bank expects the sale process to be completed by the end of September 2026, as indicated by NSE.
Bank Received ₹76.90 Crore Dividend From NSE
Bank of Baroda received a dividend of ₹76.90 crore from NSE for the financial year 2025-26. However, the bank will receive the consideration from the proposed sale of NSE shares after the Offer for Sale (OFS) process is completed.
