Bank of Baroda has extended major support to Himachal Pradesh’s disaster relief efforts by donating ₹1 crore to the Aapda Rahat Kosh. The cheque was handed over to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla. The cheque was presented by Sabhayek Singh, General Manager and Zonal Head of the bank’s Chandigarh Zone, on behalf of Bank of Baroda.
The Chief Minister thanked the bank for its generous contribution. He said that such thoughtful initiatives encourage others to participate in humanitarian and charitable activities, especially during times of need. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Deputy General Manager Bal Kishan, Assistant General Manager Rajesh Kumar Gawa, and other senior officers of the bank were also present during the event.
Bank of Baroda has once again shown its strong commitment to social responsibility and public welfare. By contributing ₹1 crore to the Aapda Rahat Kosh, the bank has demonstrated true leadership and compassion in supporting disaster relief efforts. Bank of Baroda continues to set an example of responsible banking with a heart for society.
Earlier in November, Bank of Baroda had extended support towards flood relief efforts in Punjab by contributing ₹1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The contribution cheque was handed over to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Bhagwant Mann, by Shri Hardeep Singh, General Manager & Zonal Head, Bank of Baroda, Ludhiana Zone, in the presence of Shri Aman Arora, Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Punjab.
Earlier in August, Bank of Baroda, under its CSR initiative, had inaugurated two water purifiers at Cutbona Jetty, Salcete, South Goa, ensuring safe and hygienic drinking water for the fishing community and jetty workers. The programme was graced by Shri. Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda; Shri. Prasanna A Acharya (IAS), Secretary, Fisheries & Animal Husbandry-Goa; and Shri. Shailendra Kumar Sinha, General Manager & Zonal Head – Pune Zone.
