On Thursday evening, an incident occurred at South Bihar Gramin Bank located in the local market. The employees of the bank forgot to lock the grill gate after closing the main gate. This mistake was noticed by local people on Friday morning, who became concerned about the possibility of theft at the bank. The matter was promptly reported to the Ujiarpur police, who promptly responded by visiting the bank to assess the situation.

Police Investigation and Bank Response

Upon arriving at the bank, the police found that while the grill gate was left unlocked, the main gate of the bank was properly secured. This meant that no unauthorized individuals could enter the bank premises. This incident led to accusations of negligence on the part of the bank employees.

Statements from Ujiarpur Police and Bank Manager

Mukesh Kumar, the Head of Ujiarpur Police Station, confirmed that the villagers had informed him on Friday morning about the possibility of theft after noticing multiple unlocked locks inside the bank. However, after conducting a thorough inspection, it was determined that everything was in order and no theft had occurred. The bank manager, LN Jha, explained that all the locks in the bank were properly installed. One of the locks, which is regularly used to open and close the gate during the day, had accidentally been left with the key inside.

The bank manager reassured everyone that all the valuables and goods in the bank were safe and there was no cause for concern. The incident serves as a reminder for the bank employees to be more vigilant and ensure the proper locking of all gates and entrances at the end of each day.
