Bank Employees Forced to Seek Donations for Critical Treatment due to Poor Medical Benefits
The medical facilities provided to bank employees are very poor, and the screenshot below is proof of this. Bank employees and union leaders often have to collect money from employees to help their colleagues meet the cost of treatment.
The screenshot below is from the AIPNBOA (PNB Union) WhatsApp group. In the group, bank union leaders have requested members to contribute money so that a colleague can undergo a lung transplant.
It is unfortunate that an employee who has served a government organisation for so many years has to request financial assistance from colleagues for a life-saving treatment because the cost of the treatment is not adequately covered under the medical facilities provided to bank employees.

This is not the only such incident. Whenever a bank employee needs major medical treatment, fellow employees often have to crowdfund the cost of treatment. This has raised serious questions about the medical facilities provided to bank employees.
The government and bank management must take steps to improve medical facilities and ensure that bank employees receive adequate coverage for major and life-saving treatments.
