Axis Bank Officer Dies in Car Accident in Chhattisgarh
A tragic car accident occurred on Thursday night near Silfili, located on National Highway 43 in Ambikapur, when a speeding vehicle collided with a tree. Three passengers, including Narayan Singh, a customer service officer at Axis Bank in Surajpur, were seriously injured. Narayan Singh later succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital.
The accident took place around 9:30 pm when Singh, along with the bank’s operations head and another employee, was traveling from Surajpur to Ambikapur in a Centro car (number CG15 DX 2684). The vehicle, while attempting to avoid an oncoming car, lost control and crashed into a tree near the Silfili Battalion Office.
The impact of the crash was severe, causing extensive damage to the front of the car. All three passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Sanjeevani Hospital. Singh, who had sustained a chest injury, was conscious until 8 am the following morning. However, his condition worsened suddenly, and he passed away. Doctors suspect that a broken rib may have caused a heart attack, leading to his death.
Narayan Singh, originally from Vishrampur, had been living in Ambikapur with his wife and young daughter. His brother, Dr. Prashant Singh, is the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Korea.
The other two injured passengers are receiving treatment for their injuries. One has a broken leg, while the other has injuries to his legs and hands. Both are reported to be out of danger. The Jayanagar police are investigating the cause of the accident.
