Fake Letter of 5-Day Banking under Circulation – This Letter is Fake

A letter is being circulated on social media related to implementation of 5-day banking. The letter is a gazette from the Government of India, declaring all Saturdays as holidays for Bank employees.

But the letter is Fake. Till now, Government of India has not declared 5-Day Banking.

The letter states – In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881), the Central Government hereby declares every Saturday as a public holiday for all Public Sector Banks, including the State Bank of India, with immediate effect.

The letter is not genuine and we request you not to share the letter.
