About Yajur Fibres IPO
Yajur Fibres Limited was established in 1980 and is engaged in the manufacturing of bast fibres such as flax, jute, and hemp. The company is based in Howrah and operates a bast fibre cottonising unit in India. It converts long and stiff bast fibres into short, cotton-like fibres. These fibres can be blended up to 55% with cotton and synthetic fibres and then processed using regular spinning machines.
Earlier, converting jute fibres into cotton-like fibres was considered very difficult, but Yajur Fibres achieved this through strong research and careful manufacturing practices. The company’s production facility is located in West Bengal at Jagannathpur, Phuleshwar, Uluberia, in the Howrah district. The unit spreads across 19 acres and has a 500-metre frontage along the Ganges River. Yajur Fibres’ product range includes flax yarn, jute yarn, cottonised flax fibre, cottonised jute fibre, and cottonised hemp fibre. As of November 30, 2025, the company employed 409 people.
