Unisem Agritech develops, processes, and sells seeds for vegetables, flowers, and field crops. The company uses traditional breeding methods to create hybrid seeds that offer higher yields, better quality, and stronger resistance to pests and diseases than natural varieties. Its main work involves developing hybrid seeds by selecting the best traits, producing foundation seeds, and multiplying them into commercial seeds for farming. These seeds are made suitable for different farming conditions, including water availability, soil type, and crop duration.
For large-scale production, the company collaborates with seed growers under formal agreements and regularly monitors their fields to ensure proper practices. After harvesting, the seeds are thoroughly tested for quality, then processed at the company’s facility in Ranebennur, Karnataka. Once processed, the seeds are packed and supplied to dealers across multiple states.
