Request for immediate and strict action regarding the incident of misconduct with the Branch Manager of Union Bank of India, Basta Branch, Muzaffarnagar, and threats to his life.
Respected Sir,
We wish to inform you about a very serious and unfortunate incident that took place on 02.06.2025 at a branch of Union Bank of India in Muzaffarnagar district. This incident has deeply hurt the dignity of our public institutions and has raised serious concerns about the safety of government employees.
Sir, it is to inform you that on the said date, during banking hours, a self-proclaimed farmer union leader misbehaved with the Branch Manager of Union Bank of India, Basta Branch, Muzaffarnagar, used offensive language, and issued threats to kill.
The manner in which this individual acted is not only an insult to the rule of law in India but also creates an environment of fear and intimidation among bank employees, thereby obstructing the smooth implementation of government policies to the public.
As you are aware, the banking system is the backbone of the country’s and state’s economic structure. Banks not only play a vital role in the implementation of government schemes but are also mediums for rural development and public welfare. Such criminal behavior not only endangers the lives of bank officers but also raises serious concerns regarding the safety of financial resources held within the institution. This incident reflects a grave failure in ensuring the safety of public property and employees—something that cannot be tolerated under any circumstance.
This kind of incident sends a dangerous message to officers/employees and the public—that any influential person can misuse their influence and break the law, which is a direct attack on our democratic values and the rule of law.
Therefore, in such circumstances, it is absolutely essential that strict and exemplary action is taken against such uncivilized and criminal behavior so that others may learn from it and such incidents are prevented in the future.
We kindly request that a high-level inquiry into the incident be ensured and strict disciplinary and criminal action be taken against the guilty person.
It is crucial to take immediate and decisive steps on this matter so that the dignity and safety of our public services can be safeguarded. Banking officers and employees have full faith that the government will take the necessary steps to ensure justice.

The Govt must to take action against the culprit
