Bhagalpur, Bihar: A disturbance broke out on Wednesday afternoon at the Union Bank of India’s regional office located under the Jogsar police station area. According to officials, Mohammad Guddu, a resident of Sabour, entered the office and began verbally abusing and assaulting Ajay Kumar, the bank’s Chief Manager (Loan Recovery).
Bank employees quickly intervened, overpowered the accused, and handed him over to the Jogsar police. Following the incident, the Chief Manager filed a formal complaint at the police station. The police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
Bank employees stated that Mohammad Guddu had taken a loan from the bank but had not been repaying it for a long time. Due to continuous default, the bank staff posted a defaulter notice at his residence on Tuesday.
It is suspected that, angered by this action, Guddu arrived at the bank on Wednesday and assaulted Chief Manager Ajay Kumar. Bank employees have now reached the police station and are demanding strict action against the accused. The police have registered a case and started a full investigation. Further legal proceedings are underway.
