Union Bank of India has announced compensation for employees working on Sunday – 27 September 2026. Union Bank of India has directed all branches to remain open on Sunday due to upcoming strike from 28 to 30 September 2026.
Union Bank has stated that on account of opening of branches/offices as per the details mentioned hereinabove, all officers who are called to attend official work on 27.09.2026 (Sunday), are eligible for Compensatory Off / Out-of-Pocket Expenses of Rs. 2000/-. Out of these two benefits, Compensatory Off to be applied first and in exceptional cases where it is not feasible to grant compensatory off on account of official exigencies, out of pocket expenses can be provided. The Compensatory Off or Out of Pocket Expenses shall be provided only to Officers, who had worked minimum 6 hours on that particular day.
Further, Award Staff, who are working on 27.09.2026, will be eligible for payment of Overtime Allowance as per Bipartite Settlement.
