An attempt was made to break into the Jammu & Kashmir Bank branch at Kaskoot on Saturday night. Unknown persons entered the bank premises and tried to search inside the branch. However, they could not complete the theft.
Alarm Forced Thieves to Escape
According to the complaint filed by the branch manager, the thieves entered the manager’s cabin and searched it. During the incident, the bank’s alarm system was activated, forcing the accused to flee from the spot before they could steal anything.
Incident Discovered on Saturday Morning
The incident was discovered on Saturday morning when the bank’s peon noticed that the bathroom door was open and suspected that someone had entered the bank without permission. The matter was immediately reported to the police.
Police Register FIR
After receiving the complaint, the police registered an FIR and started an investigation to identify and catch the people involved in the attempted break-in.
