Shri Sunil Kumar Chugh has been appointed as Executive Director in Canara Bank. Earlier, he was working as CGM in Punjab National Bank.
Mr. Sunil Kumar Chugh was heading Retail, Agriculture & MSME Credit and Financial Inclusion (RAM & FI) Division in Punjab National Bank as Chief General Manager. He is a career banker with more than three decades of experience. He started his career as an Officer (Credit) with Dena Bank in 1993.
He headed large corporate branches in Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai at the erstwhile Oriental Bank of Commerce, apart from handling responsibilities in the Corporate Office and Controlling Offices of various banks. He gained exposure across Corporate Credit, Foreign Exchange, Recovery / Resolution of Stressed Assets, and Credit Monitoring.
Mr. Chugh is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He has undergone the Leadership Development Program conducted by IIM Bangalore in collaboration with Egon Zehnder, conducted by the erstwhile Banks Board Bureau.
