Shri Balakrishna Raghavendra Rao has been appointed as Shareholder Director of Canara Bank. There was only one valid nomination against one vacancy. Shri Balakrishna Raghavendra Rao is elected as Shareholder Director of Canara Bank w.e.f. September 13, 2025 and shall hold office upto 29th November, 2027.

About Shri Balakrishna Raghavendra Rao

Shri Raghavendra Rao, aged 62 years, retired as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) at State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai. He holds a Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc-Tech) in Instrumentation Engineering and also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He has undergone on-site training courses in Business Management from Chicago School of Business in 2019 and from London School of Business in 2023.
