SBI generates more profit but LIC AAO gets Rs.40,000 more salary than SBI PO. In FY26, the State Bank of India (SBI) recorded a higher full-year net profit of ₹80,032 crore compared to LIC’s full-year net profit of ₹57,419 crore (or ₹57,453 crore depending on accounting disclosures). SBI generated ₹22,613 crore more net profit than LIC in FY26, but still LIC AAO gets Rs.40,000 more salary than SBI PO, and LIC also has a 5-day work week.

LIC AAO Basic Salary Is Much Higher
One of the biggest differences can be seen in the basic pay. The LIC AAO gets a basic pay of ₹88,635, while the SBI PO gets basic salary of ₹56,480. The LIC AAO receives ₹1,31,669.48 as gross earnings. In comparison, the SBI PO get gross salary of ₹93,342.61.
This means the difference in gross monthly salary is approximately: ₹1,31,669.48 − ₹93,342.61 = ₹38,326.87.
LIC AAO In-Hand Salary Is Over ₹1.23 Lakh
After deductions, the LIC AAO receives ₹1,23,389.48 as net salary whereas SBI PO gets a net salary of ₹ 80,350. The difference is: ₹1,23,389.48 − ₹80,350 = ₹43,039.48.
So, based on these salary slips, the LIC AAO’s monthly in-hand salary is approximately ₹43,039.48 higher than the SBI PO’s.
