SBI Employees Attacked by Loan Borrower in Guna Madhya Pradesh

An employee of State Bank of India (SBI) was brutally attacked by a loan borrower in Guna Madhya Pradesh. The employee was working at the Pagara branch in Region-4, Guna. The incident happened during the loan recovery process.

In a statement, the association advised all officers to strictly follow bank rules and prescribed procedures during recovery work. It clearly stated that recovery actions should never be taken at a personal level. Instead, officers should rely only on official methods such as personal follow-up as per rules, issuing demand notices, sending legal notices, and filing recovery cases through proper channels. Officers were cautioned not to treat recovery as a personal matter under any circumstances.

  1. First you GMs post sufficiently empowered staffs at your branches for strengthening Ground level instead of strengthening of your air conditioned central offices for nothing for good jobs. And you stop your review meeting first of all. This will help to get more time for their duties. And dont abuse branch staffs, they are there at late nights without considering their Life to take care of bank like our indian Army

Violence against bank staff is unacceptable under any circumstance. At the same time, bank officers must strictly adhere to prescribed rules in loan sanction, disbursement, and recovery. Recovery should never be personal and must follow only lawful, institutional procedures to ensure safety, fairness, and system integrity.
