SBI Branch Manager in Mainpuri Receives Death Threat from Customer

Uttar Pradesh: The branch manager of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Karhal, Mainpuri, has received a death threat, creating panic among bank staff. The manager has filed a complaint with the Karhal police, after which the police have registered a case and started searching for the accused.

The complainant, Naveen Kumar Bharti, lives in Awas Vikas Colony in the Sadar Kotwali area. He works as the manager at the SBI Karhal branch. In his statement to the police, he said that on 11 November, Gaurav Kumar, a resident of Nagla Rauri, entered his office without permission. Gaurav allegedly abused him and threatened to kill him. The manager said that the next day, he again received a phone call from the same youth, who repeated the death threat. Bharti also told the police that he has an audio recording of the threatening call.

Feeling unsafe after the repeated threats, the SBI manager requested police protection. Karhal police station in-charge Maharaj Singh Bhati confirmed that a case has been registered based on the complaint. He said that a search has been launched to arrest the accused Gaurav Kumar.
