A bank employee’s body has been found under suspicious circumstances in Sitamarhi, Bihar. The incident occurred in the Bairgania market area, within the jurisdiction of the Bairgania police station. The body of the deceased, identified as Gonu Anand, was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in a room. Gonu Anand, a resident of Pupri in the district, had been living in a rented house in Bairgania.
According to reports, the police from the local Bairgania police station arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information about the incident. They are now investigating the matter. The family members of the deceased have been informed about the situation and are on their way to the location.
Gonu, who was employed as a clerk at State Bank Bairgania, had returned to his rented accommodation after work, just like any other day. On Thursday afternoon, his body was discovered when people grew concerned after the gate to his house remained closed past 11 a.m. When they checked, they found his body hanging from the ceiling fan.
The police have taken possession of the body and have sent it for a postmortem examination. Authorities are awaiting the arrival of the deceased’s family members before proceeding further. The Station House Officer (SHO) mentioned that, at first glance, the case seems to be a suicide. However, investigations are ongoing, and the true nature of the incident will be confirmed once the family members provide more information.
