“He needs to make up his mind about whether he is a politician or a failed economist, because it is well-known that he wreaked havoc on the entire banking system and the financial sector during his time as RBI governor,” the Union Minister remarked.

Last week, another union minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, also criticized Raghuram Rajan for his pessimistic outlook on growth in certain sectors. Vaishnaw, who handles crucial portfolios such as railways, communications, electronics, and information technology, stated that Rajan’s perspective shifted when he entered the realm of politics.

  1. RR is not a failed politician. He is a shrewd opportunist. His utterances during his meeting with Pappu in the BharatTodo yatra were mischievous and measured in a way that they suited the the party from whom he was bestowed with position. And about a failed economist also, I have my own reservations. A case of mis-utilised intelligence.
