Police files case against IndusInd Bank Subsidiary BFIL Manager for fraud in two customer’s accounts

Basti: The Munderva Police have registered a case of fraud against the branch manager and an employee of the IndusInd Bank Subsidiary BFIL located in Badewa, under the Kotwali police jurisdiction. Both are accused of embezzling approximately one lakh rupees from the accounts of two customers. The police are currently investigating the case.
According to the details, Rahul Jaysawal, a resident of Kithuri under Munderva jurisdiction, and son of Dinesh Jaysawal, is involved in business. In April 2023, he took a loan of one lakh rupees from the Badewa branch of IndusInd Bank for his business. He had been timely repaying the loan installments each month.
During this time, a bank employee, Nigam Sahni, from Gram Kusmha Ragarganj in Jagdishpur, met him. Sahni suggested that if he pays off the old loan amount, he could be eligible for a larger sum. Feeling the need for a higher loan, Rahul inquired about his outstanding bank loan with the Nigam and decided to deposit the amount. Subsequently, he transferred Rs. 68,872 to the Nigam’s account.
On the other hand, a businessman named Ikbal Ali from Jagdishpur also took a loan of Rs. 90,000 from the bank in April 2023. He, too, sent Rs. 34,000 to the Nigam’s account to repay the loan in advance. Allegedly, the Nigam did not deposit both amounts in the bank and kept them for himself. It was only about a month ago that they discovered the funds were not deposited in the bank. After contacting the branch manager, Vipin Yadav, from Sultanpur district, and receiving assurance that the money would be deposited, nearly a month passed. One day, Manager Vipin Yadav informed them that they had sent the money to the accounts, and there was nothing he could do about it. It was then that Rahul and Ikbal filed a case of embezzlement against Manager Vipin Yadav and employee Nigam Sahni at the Munderva Police Station.
The Munderva Police Station in-charge stated that based on the written complaint, a report against the manager and employee has been registered. Two days ago, on February 18, the Kotwali Police had also filed a case against the employee Nigam Sahni on the orders of the ASP, based on a complaint by Govind, a resident of Lohadar village in the Munderva police jurisdiction. Govind had also taken a loan from the bank and alleged that the Nigam had embezzled the money meant for loan repayment.
