The UPI services of Punjab National Bank are down as on 10 May 2026 at 10:00 am. Several users reported UPI Payments failure. The screenshot of UPI Payments failure is as attached below.
The above screenshot is of UPI payment at Flipkart via Paytm App. The payment failed several times and the error message stated that Punjab National Bank seems to be experiencing high payment failures right now.
This shows that there might be some latency in UPI payments processed by PNB. This is expected to be resolved soon.
Why such errors occur?
UPI payments can fail due to several reasons, and in most cases the issue is temporary. Sometimes the bank servers become busy or stop working properly because of heavy transaction load or technical problems.
In such cases, the payment cannot be processed successfully. Poor internet connection, wrong UPI PIN, app issues, or daily transaction limits can also cause payment failures.
Sometimes the problem may be with the sender’s bank, receiver’s bank, or the UPI network operated by the National Payments Corporation of India. If a payment fails, the money is usually not deducted.
Even if the amount gets deducted, it is generally refunded automatically within some time. Users are usually advised to try again later or use another bank account.
