Punjab National Bank (PNB) has issued an advisory regarding strike on 12 February 2026. 10 Central Trade unions have announced a big strike on 12 February 2026. Trade unions have alleged that the government is not paying attention to their demands and there is a significant delay from the government in implementation of their demands. Rules for Employees on Strike
- If employees apply for leave on the day of strike, it will have to be refused.
- The employees going on strike will not be entitled to wages, on the principle of “NO WORK NO PAY.”
- In the case of disobedience of lawful orders, even if given verbally, disciplinary action is to be taken.
- Cash keys are taken beforehand from the custody of employees who intend to join the strike so that branches/offices can be opened without difficulty.
- Non-striking employees may be deputed for attending clearing houses as well as the branches to ensure that all branches remain operational during the strike.
