PNB Bank Manager: In the PNB Bank scam involving crores of rupees in Nauch village of Kaithal, Haryana, the bank has taken significant action by suspending two officials, namely bank manager Mukesh Panwar and vice-manager Mandeep Singh. This is the first action taken against any officers following the arrest of cashier Rambir, who committed a fraud of Rs 1 crore 70 lakh in PNB Bank of Nauch. Despite Rambir’s arrest, the police have been unable to recover any money from him even after 12 days.

An investigation into the matter is underway from the Chandigarh headquarters towards the bank management. SK Nanda, the Lead Bank Manager, has confirmed the suspension of both officers, and an audit committee is currently examining the bank’s transactions.

Rambir, who worked as a cashier at the PNB Bank in Nauch for the past five years, had defrauded many consumers of Rs 1.70 crore. He had collected money from customers without providing deposit slips and deducted money from several accounts.
