But the main issue is that this reply does not reflect the actual situation prevailing in Bank of Baroda. The matter of staff shortage is already with the office of the Labour Commissioner.
An email/letter dated 21.8.2025 was sent by Shri K Srinivasarao, General Secretary, All lndia Bank of Baroda Officers’ Union to the Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, regarding acute shortage of manpower in Bank of Baroda.
The Union stated that there is an acute staff shortage in Bank of Baroda. Officers are being forced to handle multiple tasks, and the situation is even worse in rural and semi-urban areas. Frequent transfers of officers are further affecting manpower. Several branches are operating with less than the minimum required staff strength, which is impacting both business development and customer service.
The Assistant Labour Commissioner has written a letter to Deputy CLC, Mumbai to look into the issue and resolve the matter at the earliest.
This shows that the reply from Bank of Baroda is completely contradictory to the ground reality.
