State Bank of India (SBI) has witnessed strong growth in its loan book while significantly improving its asset quality over the last ten years. The bank’s net advances increased from ₹15.71 lakh crore in 2016-17 to ₹48.78 lakh crore in 2025-26, reflecting robust credit growth across various sectors. At the same time, SBI successfully reduced its Net Non-Performing Assets (NPA) ratio from 3.71% to just 0.39%.
