IndusInd Bank Inaugurates All-women Bank Branch in Chennai, Tamil Nadu

IndusInd Bank has opened a new all-women branch at Saveetha Dental College in Velappanchavadi, Chennai. This marks the bank’s 12th all-women branch in India. The branch is entirely managed by a team of five women staff members and is designed to provide a comfortable and empowering environment for women customers. Covering an area of 1,300 square feet, the branch offers a full range of retail banking services, including savings and current accounts, fixed and recurring deposits, personal loans, car loans, home loans, and credit card services.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, Founder and Chancellor of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, who served as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Saveetha, Director of The Pupil Saveetha Eco School, and Dr. Ramya, Director of Saveetha School of Engineering, were present as Chief Guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vineet Dhar, Head of Branch Banking and Home Markets at IndusInd Bank, said that the bank is committed to building an inclusive banking system where women feel confident and encouraged to participate in financial activities. He emphasized that the all-women branches are part of the bank’s broader mission to promote gender equality and women empowerment in the financial sector.

IndusInd Bank has previously launched all-women branches in cities such as Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Thiruvananthapuram. With this new branch in Chennai, the bank continues to expand its footprint in South India, reinforcing its commitment to creating more opportunities for women in banking.
