Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a prominent public sector bank in India, is celebrating the Diwali season by gifting sweets and presents worth INR 2,500 to each of its 21,265 employees in India and overseas. This thoughtful gesture shows the bank’s appreciation for the dedication and hard work of its employees, who are essential to the bank’s ongoing success. It also highlights IOB’s tradition of recognizing and valuing its employees, especially during festive occasions.

Speaking about this initiative, Mr. Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director & CEO of IOB, shared, “Our employees are the backbone of the bank, and it’s their hard work that keeps us moving forward year after year. We want to express our gratitude for their efforts, and this gesture is a small way to say thank you for their invaluable contributions.”

The bank’s employees have warmly welcomed this Diwali gesture, which strengthens the spirit of unity and togetherness that defines IOB’s culture. Last year, the bank similarly shared festive sweets worth INR 2,000 with each staff member as a token of appreciation.
