What is IDPIC?
Indian Digital Payment Intelligence Corporation (IDPIC) is a Section 8 company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. It is promoted by the State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda, along with other banks and payment companies, and operates under the regulatory approval and oversight of the Department of Financial Services and the Reserve Bank of India. IDPIC has been established as India’s central digital payment fraud intelligence platform. Its main role is to detect, prevent, and analyse fraud in India’s fast-growing digital payments ecosystem in real time. By using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics, IDPIC helps strengthen the security and reliability of the country’s digital payment system.
Eligibility
Qualification and eligibility criteria include a graduate degree in any discipline, with an MBA being preferable. The candidate should have worked for a minimum of four years as a Whole-time Director, out of which at least two and a half years should be as Managing Director and CEO, in a Public Sector Bank or an equivalent position in a Private Sector Bank or financial organisation. Preference will be given to bankers who have a proven track record of transformation, experience in leading IT-related committees, and a demonstrated ability to drive digital innovation in their organisation.
The age limit should be between 55 and 61 years as on 31.12.2025. The salary will include monthly gross emoluments, accommodation, a chauffeur-driven office car, and other perquisites in line with industry norms in similar organisations. The tenure of appointment will be five years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. The work location will be Mumbai, Maharashtra, with the registered office also located in Mumbai.
