About the Role
As an Application Owner, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of critical banking applications—from development and deployment to maintenance and retirement. You will serve as the central point of contact for application performance, enhancements, issue resolution, and compliance, working closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the applications support the bank’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
Application Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee application development, implementation, support, and eventual decommissioning, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure applications meet internal and regulatory compliance standards.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to define and deliver application enhancements.
- Act as the go-to contact for application-related matters.
Performance Monitoring:
- Set and track KPIs to evaluate application performance.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and better user experience.
Project Management:
- Lead and coordinate application projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Manage testing, training, and rollout of new features.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 9–15 years of experience with at least 5 years in application management or software development, ideally within banking or financial services.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong grasp of banking applications and software development life cycle (SDLC).
