HDFC Bank Employee vs Police Constable Clash in Tikamgarh, SP Orders Probe

A dispute has recently come to light in Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh, involving a female employee of HDFC Bank and a female police constable. The incident occurred during a routine traffic check and has now gone viral on social media.
What Happened?
According to the complaint, HDFC Bank employee Sapna Yadav was on official duty, traveling for bank-related work. As she was passing through the Papaura bypass intersection, she was stopped by police during a routine checking drive. The checking was being conducted to improve road safety and reduce accidents in the area.
During the checking, female constable Afroz Khan issued a challan (fine) to Sapna Yadav for not wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler. However, things took a serious turn when Sapna alleged that the constable misbehaved with her after issuing the fine.
Allegations by the Bank Employee
Sapna claims that when she tried to record the incident on her mobile phone, the constable snatched her phone and twisted her hand. She further alleged that the constable attempted to physically attack her, but local people who were present at the spot intervened and stopped her.
Sapna also stated that the constable threatened her, saying that if she complained to the Superintendent of Police (SP), she would make it difficult for Sapna to continue working.
Police Response
The in-charge of Kotwali police station, Pankaj Sharma, responded to the allegations by explaining that daily traffic checks are being carried out across the district due to rising road accidents. He confirmed that Sapna was fined according to the rules for not wearing a helmet, and a receipt for the fine was provided on the spot.
However, regarding the allegations of misbehavior, Sharma said that an investigation is underway to verify the facts.
Video Goes Viral and Investigation Begins
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms, showing a heated argument between the two women. After the video surfaced, SP Manohar Mandloi took immediate action and has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.
