Government plans to open Bank every 3 Km

The Banks have become the backbone of Indian Economy. Banks are helping in economic growth of the nation. Moreover, the Government of India has connected even the rural people with the banking services.

The Government had launched Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and provided banking facilities to people. People all across India opened accounts in Banks and enjoyed several facilities such as Direct Benefit Transfer etc.

Now the Government is working even on a more ambitious plan.

As per sources, the Government of India is planning to open Bank every 3 kilometres. The Government of India plans to provide banking services every 3 kilometres.

This plan will ensure that the banking facility is provided even to the remotest areas of the nation. This will ensure that banking facilities are provided to all the villages. This will have a lot of benefits. First, the public will get connected to the banking system which will indirectly involve them in the economy. People in villages and remote areas will deposit money in Banks which will increase the CASA of Banks. Banks will provide business loans to the people in these areas which will in turn increase the employment and help in boosting economy.

As per the sources, India Post will play a major role in providing banking services in 3 kilometre radius. India Post has lacs of offices and these offices will be utilised in providing banking services.

Apart from this, the largest public sector banks such as SBI, PNB, BOB are well capable to offer banking services in 3 kilometre radius. These banks are giants and have been working for the welfare of public and economy for the last 200 years. If this plan comes out to be true, it will surely reshape the Indian Banking System.
