Fire Breaks Out at Bank of Baroda Branch in Maharajganj UP Due to Short Circuit

Maharajganj, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh: A fire broke out early morning at the Bank of Baroda branch in Gupta Market, Maharajganj, causing damage to the bank’s furniture and disrupting normal operations. The incident happened around 3:00 AM and was caused by a short circuit, according to initial information.

Police personnel on night patrol first noticed smoke coming out of the bank building. They immediately alerted the fire brigade and informed the bank’s branch manager. Firefighters reached the spot quickly and managed to control the fire before it could spread further.

Thanks to the timely response, important documents and banking equipment remained safe. The branch manager said he received information about the incident at 3:15 AM. He confirmed that the fire was completely extinguished and that only furniture was damaged, with no major financial or record loss.

However, the fire has affected day-to-day banking work. The branch manager said banking operations will remain disrupted for the next two days due to cleanup and repairs. Normal services are expected to resume on Monday.
