The Finance Ministry will hold a special meeting with the MD&CEOs of public sector banks (PSBs) to review their financial performance for the first quarter of the current financial year.
This review meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 2025, and will be chaired by Financial Services Secretary M. Nagaraju. During the discussion, the ministry will closely examine how PSBs have performed in the first three months of FY 2025-26. Discussions will be held at important areas such as profitability, credit growth, asset quality, and progress in government schemes.
Such quarterly review meetings are part of the government’s regular monitoring exercise, ensuring that banks remain on track with financial targets, risk management, and lending priorities.
