Female Bank Employee in Haryana Harassed with Obscene Messages, Police Case Filed

A serious case of harassment has been reported in Tohana, where a female employee of Axis Bank was allegedly sent obscene messages and photos by a man from Jind district, Haryana. The incident took place at Axis Bank’s Chandigarh Road branch, where the woman works. Tohana is a city and a municipal council, just 56 km from Fatehabad City in Fatehabad district in the Indian state of Haryana.

The victim, Kiranjit Kaur, who lives in Sadhanwas village, reported the matter to the police. She stated that Vikas Nain, a resident of Amargarh village in Narwana, has been harassing her continuously. She mentioned that an earlier complaint had been filed against him, but the issue was temporarily resolved through a family-level settlement.

However, just a day after the settlement, the accused resumed his harassment, this time more aggressively. He reportedly sent obscene photos and vulgar messages from different mobile numbers to the victim. In a shocking act, he also tampered with her personal photo and circulated it to her coworkers and family members through social media.

Not only this, but the accused also started sending threatening audio messages, warning the victim that he would make the doctored photos viral. This caused the victim emotional distress, and she again approached the police.

After receiving her complaint, the Tohana police have registered a case under Section 319 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and have started a full investigation. Inspector Prahlad Singh, the officer in charge at City Police Station, confirmed that a case has been filed against Vikas Nain and that he will be arrested soon. More details will be released soon.
