A woman working at a bank in the Srikrishnapuri area of Patna, Bihar has accused the branch manager of attempting to sexually assault her. The details of the female employee have not been released due to privacy concerns. Based on her complaint, the police have filed a case against the accused, and an investigation is currently underway.
According to the victim, the incident took place on Wednesday at around 3 pm. The branch manager, Rajneesh Kumar Srivastava, called her to inquire about her work for the day. He then invited her to his friend’s hostel seeking urgent medical help. When she arrived, she found Rajneesh Kumar already drunk and pressuring her to drink alcohol.
The victim explained that when she refused, Rajneesh Kumar became aggressive, holding her hand and demanding that she offer something in exchange for a promotion. He then tried to force himself on her. As she attempted to leave the room, one of Rajneesh Kumar’s friends, identified as Divyanshu, locked the door from the outside. The victim screamed for help, and eventually, someone unlocked the door. She quickly ran from the hostel and went straight to the police station to file her complaint.
The police at Srikrishnapuri station have confirmed that a case has been registered based on the woman’s statement. They are now investigating the matter further.
