The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against unknown individuals for allegedly running a fraudulent recruitment scam. The accused were reportedly deceiving unemployed job seekers by falsely promising employment opportunities in the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).

Fake Job Offers and High Fees

According to the complaint, the scammers lured aspirants with job offers for positions such as Peon, Cleaner, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and Lower Division Clerk (LDC). To secure these fake jobs, candidates were asked to pay hefty sums ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh.

Once the payment was made, the job seekers received emails instructing them to undergo a medical examination at a supposed DRDO-affiliated facility in New Delhi. However, this medical center was not legitimate.

Fake Training and Appointment Letters

Following the medical examination, the victims were given fake appointment letters. They were then directed to report for a three-month training program at an alleged DRDO office in Jaipur. However, this office was also a fabrication, set up by the fraudsters to make the scheme appear genuine.

CBI Conducts Searches

As part of the investigation, the CBI has conducted searches at two locations in Jaipur and one in New Delhi to gather evidence against the culprits.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the scam. Job seekers are advised to remain vigilant and verify employment opportunities through official government portals to avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes.
