Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association has written a letter to all Regional Heads of Surat Zone to draw attention to an ongoing concern regarding the conduct of internal Teams meetings during official customer service hours.

As per the directive issued by the Strategic Planning and Performance Budgeting Department, Baroda Corporate Centre, Mumbai, vide Ref: BCC:SP&PB:117:192, dated 27-06-2025, it has been clearly advised that all internal meetings (physical or virtual) should be conducted only after customer service hours, except in cases of urgent or exceptional requirements.

This directive was released after Bank of Baroda Chief Manager in Baramati Pune Died by Suicide Due to Work Pressure. Bank of Baroda Management agreed to improve work environment in Bank and promote work life balance for employees.

This directive follows the recent Top Management Business Review Meeting held on 16-06-2025 and is aimed at improving overall customer experience and enhancing business generation during peak service hours.

Despite this communication, it has been observed that several Teams meetings are still being scheduled during morning business hours, which hampers smooth customer service and diverts staff focus from frontline responsibilities.

The association has urged regional heads to kindly take necessary steps to ensure strict adherence to the above-mentioned guidelines in the interest of uninterrupted customer service and operational efficiency.

In another incident, Bank of Baroda Officers have raised their voice against Toxic Work Culture in Chandigarh Zone. The Officers have written a letter to Zonal Head Chandigarh and urged him to look into the prevailing issues.
