Central Bank of India Appoints Kavita Thakur as Chief Compliance Officer from 20 December 2025

Central Bank of India has announced a change in its senior management. The bank has appointed Mrs. Kavita Thakur as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Key Managerial Personnel with effect from 20 December 2025. She has taken charge in place of Mr. Joy Mukherjee.

Mrs. Kavita Thakur is 55 years old and has been associated with the bank since 1990. She has over 35 years of banking experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and an MBA in Banking and Finance. She is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).

In addition, she has completed a certificate course on Resolution of Stressed Assets with special focus on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Before her new appointment, she was serving as the Zonal Head of the Ahmedabad Zonal Office.
